The Beauty That Is Now

I can see my breath in the chilly autumn air

As I walk the early morn to greet the day

Into the quiet of the golden sky I offer up a prayer

And as if in sweet reply, a breeze begins to play

Like a brightly colored snowstorm all the leaves come tumbling down

And in the wonder of the moment, like a child I laugh aloud

As the falling leaves surround me

Swirling colors to astound me

I stand amazed in the beauty that is now

I stand amazed in the beauty that is now

We’ve been dancing on the earth for oh so long

Never knowing what the next day has to bring

Tho’ I do my best to share it, in poetry and song

There are things that I can’t seem to say, even when I sing

But still I feel it move within me, and it will not be denied

And in the wonder of this moment, my heart is opened wide

The whole world dances before us and

And it sings in joyous chorus

I stand in awe of the beauty that is now

I stand in awe of the beauty that is now

It was there when you first opened up your eyes

And its song, was the first to touch your ears

And it’s held you every time you’ve laughed and every time you’ve cried

And whatever dreams may come it always will be here

And I know the Earth rejoices when rain falls from above

And I know the world is waiting for us to give our love

For the very love within you

Is the same love within me

We are one in the beauty that is now

We are one in the beauty that is now
